I really should get myself back on here!  *hides*

So, since the last check-in......well, a lot!  I have several tack pieces either in the works or in the brain.  I have a western saddle near completion.  I am going to be starting a draft driving bridle for Wixom.  I also want to start a new huntseat set to work with my CM Palouse.

Custom-wise, I have a CM Wixom nearing completion!  She is a fun black and white pinto.  Her black is nearly done, then it's time to clean up the whites and define the edges.

I have managed to acquire several resins as well!  My first resin was Messenger from Shauna at Epic Fail Studios.  He is a neat little guy with huge wings!  Next was a mini Scarlett I purchased in November at a show.  Then the Breyer Do It Yourself resin who needs to have the grooves filled in.  Then a Mindy.  Three medallions.  And Brio.  <3  Brio Sombra is a beautiful trad resin from Sheila Bishop, and my first traditional size resin.  I can't wait to get started on him!  I want to work on plastics before I get to him though.  Don't want to mess him up!

And to props - I've been making cones for performance!!  They are always available for sale - just email me or comment!  I also have a few jumps in progress, but I'm stuck on how to assemble them that look right.  Something isn't quite "right".

Pictures to come when there's some daylight.  And my desk is cleared off.

Um......Hai!

Wow, I kinda sucked at this blog over the last few months!!

My excuses:

  • Barn - doing a lot of riding and almost got to show in October!
  • Studio projects - just didn't get a lot of pictures!  But I'll get some of those soon.
  • Model shows - went to two at the beginning of November and did pretty darn good!!
So....I'll get back to this!!  Santana has ears, new eyes and needs to get a new coat of primer after I messed him up trying in vain to get him done for a show.

Also, my pacer has a new mane!  Her tail needs to be made tack-friendly, so I can get a crupper under her tail.  Then it will allow me to start coloring her and making a harness.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  Picture updates coming soon!  I think my bread in the oven is done!  =)

Hartland Find?

I don't know much about Hartland horses, but I saw this guy in an ad for garage sales, and I picked him up today.  I think he's pretty cool for my first Hartland.  =)

A Complete Conga!!

I have finally gotten the final fjord I was looking for to complete my Fjord conga.  Granted, I don't have the WEG fjord, but that's a run of, what, 16?  We'll consider that out of my reach and this is complete!!

I loves my ponies!!

Oh, and a New Addition to VAF

Dottie Hayes is a great gal.  She sold me my woodgrain FAF lamp for a steal.  I get to drool when she posts pictures of her new paint jobs.  And we recently worked out a trade so I could get one of her amazing jobs for another steal!  I'm telling you, this gal is a great asset to this industry.

Here is the head shot of my new horse:

When I get this gal in my hands, more pictures to come!!

Miracle of Grey Primer

While waiting for some feedback on the ears for Santana, I decided to spray him with the grey primer to get a better idea of what needs to be done on him for prep work.  I have to tell ya, just getting the primer on makes him look like a whole different horse, and I can really see how he's going to look, versus sanded off OF pain, cured epoxy, etc.  I'm starting to get excited about him!   =D
